Went to Berkeley where I played drums in the marching band for 4 years, got a degree in Cognitive Science. Stayed in the bay area ever since: went on to work at Macromedia which became Adobe for 4 years, then moved on to a small email marketing company called VerticalResponse in San Francisco. Got into climbing, cooking and yoga. I currently live in a house with 6 people and my two great pit bulls! Oh, and just within the last year I grew out some long emo hair, which you see pictured here!

I'll put up better pictures later, since our SPHS days were pre-digital camera revolution I'll have to scan some stuff in. ;)

So I'm still as nerdy as I was in high school.  I may, in fact, be even nerdier.  After leaving the hallowed orange halls of SPHS (BTW, is anyone else as creeped out by the remodel as I am?  It's spooky.) I spent a few years at PCC and UC Berkeley getting a degree in Integrative Biology.  Integrative Biology: the biology major for wishy-washy students.  Studied a bit of everything.  Ended up with jobs in quite disparate areas of research. Spent my senior year at Cal as a research slave for a lab that studies light signaling in plants.  After a brief stint hawking jeans at the Gap, I've spent the last four years in the San Francisco Veterans' Affairs Hospital, studying bone and bone-related hormones for a UC San Francisco professor.  From plants to bones, it's all SCIENCE! and molecular biology to me, and I love it.

In my spare time when I wasn't slaving away to my mistress SCIENCE, I managed to trick a Stanford grad into marrying me.  Stanford and Cal under one roof, Big Game is awesome every year.  We bought a house in San Mateo a few years ago, and we play video games and watch various Sci Fi shows together.  I know.  So nerdy.  No kids, unless you count our cat.  He also forces me to travel, which I'm less keen on, but I suppose it's good for me.  Builds character.  So we've been to London, India for a friend's wedding, Copenhagen (and the original Legoland, the best place EVER), Prague, Austria, and Paris.
